Inspiring stories of adventure, environment and the human spirit - on the big screen.

Mountainfilm on Tour returns to Australia in 2026, bringing a curated selection of world-class adventure and environmental films to cinemas across the country - and this year, CAWA is proud to host the first Perth screening in Leedereville.

Originally founded in Telluride, Colorado, Mountainfilm is one of the world’s most respected mountain film festivals. The touring program showcases powerful short documentary films that explore climbing, exploration, environmental stewardship, resilience, and the human drive to do meaningful things in challenging places.

Expect breathtaking landscapes, gripping personal stories, and thought-provoking films that go well beyond adrenaline - stories that connect deeply with the climbing community and anyone who values wild places and purposeful adventure.

This is a cinema night for climbers, outdoor enthusiasts, and anyone who enjoys being inspired by real stories from around the world. Whether you’re actively climbing, dreaming of your next trip, or simply keen to immerse yourself in mountain culture for an evening, Mountainfilm on Tour delivers a shared experience worth seeing on the big screen.

CAWA will be emceeing the evening, helping bring the local climbing community together for a relaxed, social night celebrating adventure and storytelling.
