About event

Granite, ocean air & long-weekend vibes - climb into WA’s wild south.

After two hugely successful trips, we’re heading back to the spectacular south coast for another Albany & Surrounds climbing adventure, this time over the WA Labour Day long weekend.

Based in and around Albany, this region offers some of the most iconic granite climbing in the state - from dramatic ocean-side slabs to bold inland domes. We’ll once again explore areas such as West Cape Howe, famous for its exposed sea cliffs and sweeping views; Peak Head with its striking coastal lines; and the magnificent granite of Porongurup National Park, home to varied single and multi-pitch routes on pristine rock.

This is a peer-based, self-sufficient trip. There is no guiding or instruction - participants are responsible for their own safety, gear, route choices and partnerships. The magic of these trips lies in the shared beta, evening camp chats, new partnerships, and the opportunity to push your climbing in a supportive community environment.

Camping is in a scenic private bush site close to climbing spots, perfect for unwinding after days on the rock and socialising with fellow climbers. Whether you’re pushing grades, enjoying spectacular views, or soaking in the Australia Day long weekend energy, this adventure offers something for every seasoned outdoor climber.
