Achieve the highest level of ACIA instructor training and refine your advanced teaching and technical skills.

The Climbing Instructor (CI) course represents the highest instructional level in the ACIA system (outside commercial guiding). Delivered by Adventure Training Consultants, this course integrates advanced technical systems with a strong focus on teaching methodology, judgement, and leadership across various climbing environments.

Training includes:

• High-level anchor systems and rigging

• Advanced coaching techniques and instructional frameworks

• Emergency response and problem solving

• Multi-client management across varied terrain

• Teaching progression from novice to advanced climbers

• Professional practice and assessment preparation

CI is intended for experienced MPG-level guides seeking to formalise their teaching expertise or support climbing programs at an advanced level.

CAWA strongly recommends ACIA-accredited training to members looking to develop meaningful, safe, and responsible leadership within climbing communities.

This is not a CAWA-run event. CAWA is only sharing this course as a recommended training opportunity.
